For most of my indoor portrait photography shoots my equipment has to be fitted around furniture with not a lot of room left to move around.

This wasn't a problem on my latest shoot!

The Women in Rock were performing at The Birdwell Venue in Barnsley last night and I was asked to come along prior to the show and do some photographs. They had recently acquired two new singers and needed some up-to-date images for use on their logo, posters and other publicity materials.

While I waited for them to arrive from various parts of the country I set up my equipment and really enjoyed having all the extra space. The location was especially good as when the girls arrived, the costumes could be spread out while they choose which ones to wear for the session.

I really enjoyed the afternoon and meeting the girls, but there was one (big) disappointment; I had commitments later that evening which meant I couldn't stay for the actual show - but something I hope to rectify the next time they are performing in the area.
